Questions

What renters ask us most

How do I rent a dumpster from The Dumpster Rental?

Enter your ZIP code, call (313) 666 7884 or send the quote form. Tell us about the project and the day you need the container. We confirm the size, the price and the delivery window in writing before anything is booked.

What size dumpster do I need?

Most small cleanouts fit in a 10 yard. A 20 yard handles most remodels, roof jobs and whole-home cleanouts. A 30 yard is built for large renovations, construction and demolition. Describe the job and we will recommend the size that avoids a second haul.

Do I need a permit for the container?

On a driveway or other private property, you usually do not need a permit. A container on a street, sidewalk or other public space often needs city approval. Rules change from town to town, so check with your local office before delivery day.

What does my quote include?

Your quote covers delivery, pickup, the rental period, disposal and a set weight allowance. Charges for extra days or extra weight are listed up front, so the invoice matches the quote you approved.

What is not allowed in the dumpster?

No hazardous materials. That means no liquid paint, solvents, motor oil, fuel, batteries, propane tanks, tires or appliances that still hold refrigerant. Some areas restrict other items too, so ask us before you load anything you are not sure about.

How high can I fill the container?

Keep debris level with the top of the walls. Nothing should stick out over the sides or the top, because an overloaded container cannot be hauled safely and may need to be unloaded before pickup.
