Sizing tips
Three ways to spend less
Tip 1
Size heavy loads by weight
Concrete, dirt, brick and shingles reach the weight limit long before the container looks full. Tell us about heavy material so we size for weight, not only volume.
Tip 2
Unsure? Go one size up
Debris takes up more space than you expect. One size larger usually costs less than a second container.
Tip 3
Keep the drop zone clear
Move vehicles before delivery day. The truck needs a straight approach and open space overhead, away from low branches and wires.
Loading & placement
Before you start loading
What is not allowed in the dumpster?
No hazardous materials. That means no liquid paint, solvents, motor oil, fuel, batteries, propane tanks, tires or appliances that still hold refrigerant. Some areas restrict other items too, so ask us before you load anything you are not sure about.
How high can I fill the container?
Keep debris level with the top of the walls. Nothing should stick out over the sides or the top, because an overloaded container cannot be hauled safely and may need to be unloaded before pickup.
Will the container damage my driveway?
Drivers set the container down slowly, and boards can go under the rails to spread the load. Tell us about pavers, new asphalt or soft ground when you book so we can plan the drop around it.
